The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center
Chair's Greeting
Welcome! The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center exists to advance humanistic inquiry in northeast Ohio and to develop civic-minded leaders who have thought broadly and deeply about the human experience. We are proud to sponsor public events that address questions of history, literature, society and philosophy from a range of perspectives and from diverse points of view, as well as faculty research into topics of contemporary and perennial concern.
Particularly important to our mission is the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Scholars Academy. This unique program enhances Tri-C students’ experience by cultivating their leadership skills through a curriculum grounded in the humanities and civic engagement. For more information about this program, click on the Mandel Scholars Academy link to the left or on the video below. If you have any questions about it, or about the Mandel Center’s activities more broadly, please do not hesitate to contact me.
